Job description
Hycamite TCD Technologies Oy is a team of professionals working to decarbonize industry using novel methane-splitting technology. Join Hycamite in decarbonizing industry!
Hycamite seeks talented and motivated individuals who share our vision of a cleaner future. Join us in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and producing critical raw materials.
We decarbonize industry by producing clean hydrogen and solid carbon by splitting methane. For this, we break down the methane from natural gas, biogas or industrial side streams using heat and our proprietary zero-emission technology.
By working at Hycamite, you will be part of a team passionate about solving one of the biggest challenges of our time: climate change. You will have the opportunity to learn new skills, share your ideas and grow professionally. You will also enjoy a positive work culture that values your well-being and satisfaction. Hycamite is a Future Workplace certified workplace for three years in a row.

Now we are looking for a Senior Scientist, Catalyst
We seek an experienced and self-driven catalyst researcher to join our dynamic catalyst R&D team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing Hycamite’s catalyst portfolio, upscaling the catalyst from pilot to demo plant, planning and designing the experiments (i.e., preparation, modification and activation of solid catalysts), analyzing & interpreting the materials characterisation data (XRD, TPR, BET, etc.), proactively involved in solving technical and research challenges (e.g., pilot scale reactors), project management tasks and data analysis. You will work closely with a group of researchers from both the catalyst and carbon teams. In this position you will report to the Catalyst Research Lead.
Key responsibilities
Designing the experiments with lab personnel in preparing the catalyst, post-treatment and activation methods.
Analyzing, collecting and interpreting the data from different characterization techniques, e.g., XRD, SEM, EDS, BET, TPR, Raman spectroscopy, etc.
Understanding the micro-GC analysis data and planning test runs in different reactors.
Project management tasks (tools), Gantt charts and application of AI/ML in catalysis (is considered as a plus).
Collaborating with internal stakeholders and understanding the customer-specific needs and product specifications.
What we offer
Hycamite offers flexible working schemes, continuous learning opportunities, and diverse teams with an inclusive culture where people thrive and are empowered.
Recruitment process
Please apply by 9 November 2025. Interviews are held in week forty-seven. Please note that we will be reviewing applications as they are received.
